Ariic David Reng

Ariic holds a Master of Science in Economics and a Bachor of Management Science from the University of Toronto, Canada. He holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.

Ariic is a Public Finance Expert at at Akec Consultancy, with over ten years of experience in public finance. Ariic has worked as a public financial specialist at Deloitte Consulting Ltd, where he was tasked to set up financial management systems for diverse groups of clients in the public and private sectors in North America and later at the Ministry of Finance in South Sudan where he was responsible for development of public financial policies and manuals for national and sub-national governments.

He was the Business Manager for 6 years managing USD 15,000,000 USAID-funded media grant (i-STREAM) in South Sudan where he was responsible for financial management including development of financial policies and systems for public radio stations.

He is currently a national consultant at the World Bank on Public Financial Management where he has worked on the amendments of the Public Financial Management and Accountability Act, 2016, National Revenue Act, 2016. He has also conducted capacity-building workshops for officials at the Ministry of Finance and Planning, the Parliamentary Finance Committee, and officials at the Ministries of Finance at the state levels.

Ariic brings to this the Expert Team the practical skills and experience gained over the years in public financial management, policy development, and project management working in diverse settings including in media organizations.
