Professional Training in Engineering English

Why Take This Course
English is the official language of South Sudan. However, a significant portion of the population, including university graduates, struggle with English. This is a legacy of the education system which, under Sudan, focused on Arabic as the national and official language, and considered English as a second language, but never gave it the attention it deserved in the school curricula, bookshops, business, and media.
Engineering and construction have specialized vocabularies of their own. This poses extra challenges for individuals who are already struggling with English language proficiency. Meanwhile, engineers from diverse fields such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical and power engineering have to contend with different vocabularies.
Other non-engineering professionals working in the engineering sector are also challenged. For example, to be effective on the job, managers, finance and procurement officers, sales and customer support personnel working in the engineering or construction industry, need to be conversant with a wide range of engineering vocabulary.
